Science is an incredibly important subject, where the learning goes beyond the scientific knowledge but also support children to question, test, prove and validate their findings. With social media and lots of kitchen cupboard style science- everyone thinks they’re a scientist: Although we all love to drop a mento into a bottle of coke and watch the fountain of fizz or mix bicarbonate and vinegar to see a balloon self inflate, science is about the why, about taking this learning and applying it o things that can change the world. Inspiring our children with science is potentially inspiring a child to make am medical discovery that saves lives, discover a complex structural analysis that protects communities from earth quakes or creating new chemical to reduce carbon emissions- good science can change the world and it starts in our classrooms.

For children to be able to remember and recall their learning they need to be able to articulate it whether this or verbally or in their minds. In order to support this we use the STEM vocabulary to support each topic. To see these please ask your child’s class teacher.
